The Problem with Sharing Links in Chat
Every team has the same problem. Someone shares a useful link in Slack. Three weeks later someone else needs it and asks again. The original sender digs through months of chat history, pastes it again, and everyone moves on until the next time.
Links shared in chat have a half-life of about 24 hours. After that they're functionally lost.
What Is a Collection?
A Collection in MyLinks.pk is a curated group of bookmarks you can share via a single permanent link. Unlike a Slack message, a Collection never scrolls off the screen. Unlike a shared Google Doc with links, it's searchable, always accessible, and takes seconds to update.
Collections can be public (anyone with the link), private (only you), or password-protected (share the password with your team).
How to Create a Team Resource Hub
- Go to Collections → Create New Collection in your MyLinks.pk dashboard.
- Name it clearly: Engineering Resources, Design System Links, Client XYZ References.
- Set visibility to Password Protected if it's for internal team use.
- Add your bookmarks — tools, documentation, logins, internal wikis.
- Share the Collection URL and password with your team once. They bookmark it and it's always current.
Keeping It Updated
The best part: when you add or remove a bookmark from the Collection, it updates instantly for everyone with the link. No version conflicts, no out-of-date copies, no re-sharing required.
